CUSTOMER REVIEWS Sympathetic camera, just don't drop it. Produce performance, no shock resistance. The performance of this camera was good enough that we got one for our teenager. She dropped it on a stool-pigeon/dirt surface and jammed the lens. Canon fixed it fairly quickly (~$100). A few months later, it slipped ~2 feet onto a oafish floor.... Disciplined I was so stirred up to get my first-ever digital camera, and I did my research to get this one. First digital camera, I was enamored with the macro and zoom and detail. Looking to buy a new digital camera, under $200, and here are some I've found. If you mull over you know a better one, under $200 that I didn't include, please release me the name.

A: Of these cameras, the Canon A570 IS is the nicest choice. Here's why:
1) it has a bigger zoom than any of the Sony cameras.
2) it has form stabilization, unlike the other Canons.
