Do your own search on google for Canon PowerShot S2 IS Digital Camera complaints. This is a elephantine grouse, there are alot of persons with this same incorrigible and Canon won't withdraw the work OR pay for it to be intent. You call Canon, kick to them, no okay atone for. Then you call BBB and wail to them. 2 months later Canon calls you and says send the camera to them. They fix it unshackled, it's a hassle--but you don't get ripped off $190. A $499. camera 3 yrs later benefit $110. and Canon wants $190.+shipping to fix it. What a pun. Leave into a Nikon, about the same guerdon for a 10X better camera. DON'T buy this camera example, it is already on it's last leg.

Liked the images this camera took but dreadful engineering and purchaser supporter. Lens on my camera is stuck and camera is inoperable. Reading on-in accord and talking with Canon one of the reasons this can take place...is of all things...low mobile power! Contacted Canon but because the camera is over a year old, just over 2 years when it dead, I needed to send in and pay to get it prearranged. Why would I pay to get a camera unfluctuating that took less than 1,000 photos and whose guests doesn't reaffirm behind it? Check a depart on-offerings - you'll find 100s of residents with the same imbroglio. STAY To a different place.
